Fresh Fruit Sandwiches (16/19)

Another afternoon tea staple. They must be served soon after they are made, or the bread will become moist.

Put sliced strawberries, dusted with powdered sugar; or raspberries or large blackberries cut into halves; or peaches, finely chopped; or apple season with a little salt, pepper, olive oil, and lemon juice; or sliced bananas with a dash of lemon juice, between two slices of bread buttered with vegan butter.
