Gen 7 Pokemon Quiz: What is it about?
Generation VII Pokemon are the ones that are featured in the Sun and Moon RPG games and their sequels, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, released in 2016 for Nintendo DS. Followed by Let’s Go Pikachu! and Let’s Go Eevee! They came out in 2017 for Nintendo Switch.
Again, we have three pairs of video games, just like in several previous installments of Pokemon.
The region in the first four games you can see above, where our Gen 7 Pokemon live, is called Alola. Doesn’t this name remind you of the word “Aloha!”? Yes, you’re right! This region is based on the US state of Hawaii and is made up of five islands. So just like Hawaii, Alola is a popular resort destination, but in the fictional Pokemon world.
Let’s Go Pikachu! and Let’s Go Eevee! games, which also feature Gen 7 Pokemon, actually take place in the original Kanto region, the very first region introduced way back, in the Red, Blue and Green games, the home of the first generation Pokemon.
In short, there are 88 Pokemon in the seventh generation. This is the second generation of Pokemon that appear in 3D.
The starter Pokemon in Sun, Moon, Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon video games are Rowlet (Grass- and Flying-type), Litten (Fire-type) and Popplio (Water-type).
